I want to put more knowledge in my brain

but doing so requires me to read

big books that find no sweet spot to explain

my goal in language on which I can feed.

And college has been made prohibitive

by constant cost increasing by the Man

so he can keep his club diminutive

and keep more of the pie that’s in the pan.

And TV has become a running joke

of running mouths all mixing truth with lies.

Potential dies with every single stroke

of vitriol and cries of buy, buy, buy!

The internet’s a blessing and a curse:

a way out and a way to make things worse.
