Spare parts

and spare works of art

work wayward

back beneath the floorboards

back beneath the short words

back beneath the black and deep

back beneath the slow tide shift of

                                         losing sleep

down into the dreaming

where the demons find their meaning

in the cavities of psyche

where the sea lace clings

and glows

and ever so gently

             waves

with a passing current.
